Grundfos Borehole & Well Pumps

Borehole well pumps are used in a wide range of applications, from the supply of natural water to individual domestic properties and commercial users, through to open loop ground source heat pump systems in the UK. The outer diameters of the pumps can range between 4 and 12 inches, depending on the application.

• The F4FX series of 4-inch borehole pumps is used in industrial and municipal waterworks and irrigation. These pumps are very resistant to abrasion and wear, which lowers maintenance costs.

• The Flygt 5-inch HX range are compact, multi impeller high performance borehole pumps made of AISI 304 stainless steel. They come in seven different size ranges and are used in the transfer of water from lakes/rivers, livestock watering, farmland irrigation and garden irrigation, using water from collection tanks or rivers. There is a silicone carbide mechanical seal that is highly resistant to wear. A second, lip-type seal ensures that, should the pump run dry, there is no damage to the seal system or any infiltration of the motor.

• The F6FX 6-inch series of centrifugal borehole and submersible pumps is designed for applications in sprinkler systems, fire-fighting installations, mining dewatering and the water supply from ground source, deep wells. They feature heads of up to 410 metres and they have a 78 cubic metres per hour flow rate.

• TV borehole pumps of 8 to 12 inch diameter are designed for deep wells that need high heads and big flows. These can handle flows of up to 580 cubic metres per hour and heads of up to 450 metres. Although usually designed for clear and non-aggressive water, there are also options for sea water and thermal waters. They work in temperatures up to 25 degrees C, but pumps with an option of up to 65 degrees C are available.
